Volunteers provide hospitality after funeral liturgies at the parish, including setting up the Parish Center, cooking and serving a buffet and other hosting responsibilities.
These parishioners are Extraordinary Ministers of the Holy Eucharist who have a special ministry to those parishioners who are unable to attend Mass. They visit the homebound and offer them companionship in prayer, the Eucharist and fellowship on behalf
of our parish family of faith of St. Alfred.
St. Alfred Parish hospital visitors are trained as Extraordinary Ministers of the Holy Eucharist. They offer friendship, prayers and distribute Holy Communion to Catholics in our local hospitals on behalf of our parish family of faith of St. Alfred.
This is an ecumenical group that coordinates support for and awareness of Right to Life issues within our parish and beyond. Events include Right to Life dinners, life-chain, public square rosary in October and the march in Washington in January. The focus is on education.
They meet once a month. Adults and teens are welcome.
The St. Vincent de Paul Society is a lay organization that helps those in need. It is a person-to-person Catholic ministry that sees the face of Christ in the face of those who are suffering.
They provide food and other assistance on
Mondays and Thursdays from 9:30-11:30 am.
