CONFRATERNITY OF CHRISTIAN WOMEN ALTAR SOCIETY

The mission of the St. Alfred chapter of the Confraternity of Christian Women Altar Society is to cultivate and promote a greater devotion and service to our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament and to promote various activities in our parish.


Meetings are held on the first Thursday of the month. Any Christian woman, who is a member of the parish, is eligible for membership.


Note: Currently, this group only convenes in English.


FESTIVAL

Our Festival is our biggest evangelization and community outreach event every year. Volunteers are always needed for different functions at our September parish festival such as setup, teardown, selling baked goods, raffle tickets, etc. Recruitment for festival volunteers happens shortly before the festival.


GARDENING GROUP

Our parish believes that beauty helps lift our thoughts to the Divine. Volunteers are needed to help maintain the landscaping and gardens to beautify the parish campus.   


HOSPITALITY COMMITTEE

The purpose of this committee is to help host different gatherings held by the parish. Most of the gatherings take place in the church vestibule after each Mass.


KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS

The Knights of Columbus is a fraternal Catholic lay organization of men. The Knights help our parish in innumerable ways, but also perform many charitable works of mercy throughout the local area.


SOCIETY OF MARY MOTHER OF THE WAY

The members of this society pray daily to honor our Blessed Mother, pray for the needs of the church and for specific intentions and provides delicious food at all their meetings. Yearly, this group organizes several Marian feasts and other events. This group is open to men and women and conducts all meetings bilingual, in English and Spanish.


They meet on the first Saturday of the month, the meeting is preceded by a bilingual Rosary and Adoration at 9:00 am.


USHERS

The role of the ushers is to welcome and assist parishioners and guests during all Masses. Ushers greet and help seat parishioners, they take up the collection and direct the flow of people receiving Holy Communion.


Ushers serve every three to four weeks at the Mass of their preference.
