Made for Heaven Lenten Series

Jpurnals are $10.00 and will be available at the first gathering. 

We invite you to join Fr. Agustino Torres, CFR on a multimedia Lenten journey inspired by St. Francis. The Made for Heaven journal features stunning original art by Valerie Delgado of Pax, along with daily meditations on the passage from scripture, reflection questions, prayer, and space to journal. In six transformative weeks, you will learn how to allow the Holy Spirit to move in your heart through a new theme each week. Each group session will include prayer, a video presentation and small group discussion.

The first of six sessions will begin at 6:00pm on Thursday evening, February 12 in the church.

Powerful advocate for social justice, advisor to kings – Isaiah embodied the notion of “speaking truth to power.” The book’s words are timeless and are offered 25 times in the Sunday readings for 2026. From its vision of God to its prophetic announcement of Immanuel; from the book’s interpretation of God’s covenant with David to its political counsel, Isaiah is a central text for Bible students. Learn about the prophet and his prophecies in this in-depth study of one of the Bible’s most beloved books. Please contact the Parish office with questions.

Michigan Central Train Station

Enjoy this 90-minute tour of formally known Michigan Central Depot, the historic former main intercity passenger rail station in Detroit which opened in 1914 and closed in 1988 after Amtrak service relocated.  December 2018 Ford began restoration work consisting of drying out the building and reinforcing structural columns and archways, masonry restoration of the tower and concourse, retiling of the ceiling of the waiting room and repair of the structural steel. Following the tour, we will head over to Slows Bar-B-Q for lunch(included) -Slows has been dishing out award winning Bar-B-Q since 2005 and has become a staple in the Corktown area of Detroit. You will have a choice of Apple chicken, Pulled Pork, BBQ Spicy Chicken Thigh, or Vegetarian BBQ. Also includes sides, non-alcoholic beverage and dessert. Bus departs at 10:15 am and returns at 3:30 pm. Cost: $108.00

Holland Tulip Time 

If you have never been, there are tulips everywhere – a beautiful site to see, so I hope you will consider joining us. We will head across the state for lunch, shopping in downtown Holland and a tour of the Vedlheer Tulip Gardens. We will be dining at the Curragh Irish Pub and Restaurant (lunch included). This restaurant is the social hub of the community. After lunch you will enjoy free time in the downtown area shopping.  Our final stop will be a visit to Vedlheer Tulip Gardens, the Midwest’s only working tulip farm and perennial garden, which spans over 30 acres and features more than 5.5 million tulips.  It is breathtaking! Veldheer also includes the Wooden Shoe and Delft Factory. Bus departs at 7:00 am and returns by 8:45 pm.  Cost: $150

The boat orginally operated in Metropolis, Illinois as a casino. This elegant (two hour) dinner cruise boat with live Motown Entertainment  accommodates up to 2000 people with dance floors and bars on each of its four decks. Frankenmuth “Three Men & A Tenor”

The day will start with a stop at Bronners Christmas Store featuring decorations from three nations around the world in religious, traditional and toyland themes. Then we head to Zender’s where you will enjoy the famous Chicken Luncheon served in their beautiful Main Dining room while enjoying top – notch entertainment, “ Three Men & A Tenor Holiday Show”. This group has opened for national legends like Jay Leno, Chuck Berry and The Beach Boys and have had it’s own national PBS-TV special show across the courty. This holiday show will be filled with lots of humor and some sentimental moments for all. Finally enjoy time shopping on main street or visit the Brewery. Bus departs at 8:00 am and returns at 7:00 pm. Cost is $131.00. This one must be paid by October 5 due to vendor requirements that tickets be ordered and paid for 45 days prior to trip.
