Christian Women Annual Christmas Dinner 2018

Our 2018 Christian Women Christmas Dinner will be Thursday, December 6th, 2018 at 6:00 pm in the Parish Center.  Dinner will be City Chicken, hand rolled meatballs with gravy, roast chicken, mashed potatoes, California blend vegetables, tossed salad, bread and butter, and dessert.  The cost is $12.00.  We invite all ladies of the parish as well as husbands and guests.

At the dinner, we will be collecting new baby items for Operation Layette.  All items collected will be given in layette form to an expectant mother.  Do not wrap these items.

For all those ladies who have secret pals, don’t forget to bring a gift for that special someone.

We ask that everyone attending the dinner bring a wrapped gift, value between $5 and $10, for our bowl raffle.  The proceeds from this raffle will go to a charity to be decided in 2019.

To make a reservation, send a check for $12 made out to St. Alfred Christian Women to:

ANGIE MC CARTY, 8421 Birch St., Taylor, MI  48180
Or Call: 313-291-1997

Hope to see you there to celebrate the Holidays with the Christian Women.

WELCOME

A "Special Welcome" to any guests who may be visiting.  We are happy to have you this weekend!  We are happy to have you this weekend!  Welcome to our parish community! May your visit be blessed!

The Holy Eucharist is exposed for adoration in our church every Wednesday at 7:50 a.m.  Think about spending time in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament.  When we come to adoration we enter into peace with Christ.

Every Friday after our Mass, we gather for coffee and donuts in the Parish Center.  Please join us!

Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults

Share the joy of the Catholic faith and Life! If you or someone you know, your spouse, a neighbor, or a friend are interested in learning more about the Catholic faith, the St. Alfred community welcomes you to come to the R.C.I.A. program.

Do you have questions, Who is Jesus? What is prayer? Is the Word of God (scripture) meaningful for my life? What is a community of faith? Where is God in my life’s journey? The RCIA program offers a wonderful opportunity to address such questions and to “Come and See” who we are as a faith community. At the Easter Vigil we joyously celebrate the Sacraments of Initiation with the RCIA participants.

For more information please contact Kathy Operhall, Director of Religious Education at 313-291-6464 x105. We will be delighted to hear form you.
